The Samsung Galaxy A90 announces the color
According to a new leak, Samsung's legendary Galaxy A90 smartphone will be equipped with flagship hardware.
The news was announced via Twitter, an OnLeaks journalist, who on Tuesday published key information about the legendary Galaxy A90.
Specifications of the Samsung A90
- SM-A908: SD855, 6.7-inch screen with on-screen FPS, 48 + 8 + 5 rear camera, 5G support.- SM-A905: SD855, 6.7-inch monitor with on-screen FPS, 48 + 12 + 5 rear camera with exclusive Tilt OIS technology!
The publication suggested that there would be two different variants of the Galaxy A90. Both will work with a powerful Snapdragon 855 processor and 6.7-inch screens with integrated fingerprint scanners.
The first option will feature 5G connectivity and a three-sensor rear camera configuration combining 48 megapixel, 8 megapixel and 5-megapixel undisclosed sensors.
The second will feature a 48 megapixel, 12 megapixel and 5 megapixels adjusted rearview camera with "proprietary Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) tilt technology".
The 48-megapixel rear camera sensor mentioned on both models is probably the same as on the OnePlus 7 Pro and Asus Zenfone 6.
Essential details such as the amount of RAM, screen resolution and battery capacity are still missing, but the specifications listed in the leak are solid. The Qualcomm processor is identical to the one used in a variant of the Galaxy S10 and has already proven itself in previous handsets.
None of this information is official, but Onleaks has a fairly strong track record of phone specifications. If this rings true, the 5G version of the Galaxy A90 is particularly interesting.
The A-series has traditionally targeted the mid-range market segment, 300 to 500 euros. If the leak rings true, it would make Samsung one of the first companies to launch a 5G smartphone at this price.
To date, most 5G phones are quite expensive. The Galaxy S10 5G costs 1,299 USD without a SIM card in the US. The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G does not have a free SIM card price at the moment, but 5G EE contracts are quite expensive.
5G is a newly launched network technology, available only in certain regions and cities of the world.
It sits alongside the existing 4G infrastructure and aims to offer users gigabit connection speeds per second. These will allow you to download an entire TV series in minutes and watch games that require triple-A over 5G.
