Now you can automatically delete some of the data it collects, in fact, Google gives its users the opportunity to delete data stored more than 3 or 18 months ago.

           Responding to privacy requests

After the recent Facebook privacy scandals, and pressure from users and states and companies like Appl, it's no surprise to see tech giants trying to find answers to the privacy issues.

Despite the fact that Google's business model is based on the use of personal data and advertising, Google seems to be making a big move to reassure users.

However, although the data will be kept for a shorter period of time, this will not reduce google's strategy and massive data collection in order to personalize and target its advertisers' ads.

In the very near future, it will indeed be possible to adjust the settings on his google account so that it automatically removes all data from web activities and user location.

So we have the choice to keep 18 months or 3 months of data on Google's servers and the rest will be deleted.

         Enable data deletion

As of today, May 02, 2019, Google promises a deployment "in the coming weeks". Just go to the Google account preferences that concern personal data, here is the link, to find these options.
